Current projects
DECADE
DECADE project proposes a new photoelectrocatalytic (PEC) approach for the conversion of CO2 into valuable added-value products, avoiding water oxidation as anodic reaction to overcome the current limits in PEC system and to maximize effective energy utilization.
NITROGEN - LIGHT (MSCA)
The EU-funded NITROGEN-LIGHT project plans to develop innovative catalysts for the photoelectrolytic production of ammonia using nitrogen as primary source.
Past projects
SYNERGY
Funded by Fondazione Cassa di Risparmio di Padova e Rovigo, call Progetti di Eccellenza 2018. Photosynthesis of fine chemicals with molecularly designed materials for selective oxygenation and carbon dioxide fixation.
PRIN 2017
This project introduced advanced electrochemical technology, combining nanoscale electrocatalytic structures with micro machined electrodes, to enhance fuel cells and electrolyzers for H2 production. It developed new electrocatalytic materials with improved activity, stability, and selectivity, replacing traditional materials. The optimized nanostructures were fabricated and tested, contributing to future energy research and the hydrogen economy.
STARS @ Unipd
“Supporting TAlent in ReSearch@University of Padua - STARS Grants” is a funding program supported by the University of Padua. It aims to encourage the conduct of high-standard, innovative, and ambitious international research in Padua and to promote the University’s participation in ERC calls.
